We’ve heard a lot about self confidence. You’ve probably heard the following statements like I have …

… it’s gonna take confidence or

… you need more confidence or

… you must be confident.

You may have also said to yourself …

… I’m lacking confidence or

… I don’t have enough confidence.

How often have you heard someone telling you HOW to gain self confidence?

The way we or I hear it is that confidence is somehow waiting out there somewhere for me to go get it or find it. I also hear it as something that I just need to tap into.

Even though there are elements of truth found within those implications, having confidence requires something more.

CASE AND POINT

When I first started coaching people, I lacked confidence. As a matter of fact, I delayed coaching anyone for quite some time because I didn’t feel confident in myself to do so.

I second guessed myself. I read more books. I took online classes. I listened to countless hours of audios. I watched hours of videos…

… looking for confidence.

Did I find it?

No!

It eluded me. I felt like I was in a hide-and-seek game with confidence.

Have that ever happened to you?

I would love to hear your story. Share with me in the comments below, your experience searching for confidence and how you “found” it.

TAKING ACTION IS THE FIRST STEP

Eventually, I came to the realization that confidence is something that I had to create. I had to do something to make it happen. That something is called “TAKE ACTION.”

After taking a few deep breaths of air and with some trepidation, I dove into my first coaching call.

I utilized all the communication skills I could muster up from within me and fumbled my way through. Thank God neither me or my client died from it.

As a matter of fact, I received fairly good feedback and I noticed something …

… my confidence tank began to fill up.

It was nowhere it is today, but it was the beginning. I began to CREATE CONFIDENCE IN MYSELF!

I have built on that over time and even though at times I don’t feel perfectly confident, I have enough to jump on a call and help people gain clarity to confidently take their next step towards their goal.

Here are 3 questions for you:

  1. How is your confidence?
  2. How are you creating confidence?
  3. What do you need to do to get going on building confidence within?

If you could not confidently say you’re progressing, you need to do like I did: take a step of faith called ACTION.

I know it can be easier said than done. I’ve been there.

OUTSIDE HELP WAS NECESSARY

But what I didn’t mention earlier is that I hired coaches to help me with clarity so that I could know what my next step was to take action.

That was my problem: NOT HAVING CLARITY ON WHAT TO DO NEXT. I bet that is yours as well!

Confidence is a key ingredient of your and my success. We must operate with confidence.

This is one of the areas I help people like you to do: Gain CLARITY and outline the STEPS TO CREATE CONFIDENCE.

If you are interested in finding out more about how I could help you connect with me and let’s set up a Rapid Discovery Call.

If I can’t help you, I’ll point you in the direction more fitting for you.

Don’t procrastinate. Do so today!
