Here’s what I know. Change is happening whether you like it or not.

START WITH THE MIRROR

Take a look at your body. Is it the same as it was a few years ago? I don’t think so. I know mine isn’t.

I now have more aches and pains than ever before in my life. Going to the gym and working out isn’t as easy as before. But I’m not giving that up. It’s producing results. 😃

Today as I sit here writing this post, my lower back is killing me. When I sit for long periods of time and try to get up, I have to slowly do so.

Once I’m almost up, I then straighten my back. I find it funny. I feel like an old man. But don’t you call me old. Haha 😃

Recovering from injuries takes more time than before. And I know I’m not the only one but I’ll only speak for myself.

What’s happening? Change is taking place.

CHANGE BY DEFAULT

If I never do anything it’s gonna happen. But it does so without any consideration for how I look or feel.

If I want to slow down the change process or guide it the way I want it, I have to do something about it.

And I am.

Five days a week I go to the gym and do about an hour worth of exercise. I’ve lost over 20 lbs so far and I’m down two pant sizes.

That’s progress.

PROGRESS IS NEEDED

Progress is what makes the difference and keeps me going. It’s the fuel to my rocket. It takes time, diligence, patience, determination, consistency, commitment, accountability, and discipline for progress to happen.

Change by default…nothing.

So, what will you do?

Will you go after progress or will you let change by default have its way?

I hope you choose to progress. But, if you’ve read my last few posts, you know that you must decide…

… decide to invest in yourself

… decide that enough is enough

… decide to get outside help

You might have read some of my previous posts where I said you cannot do this alone. If you could, you would.

I’m glad I learned this very valuable lesson early enough to have sought out the right help. It has made a huge difference in so many areas of my life. The most important of which is my mindset.

IT STARTS WITH THE MINDSET

I would suggest you start with that—your mindset.

Working on resetting mindset is one portion of the course I’m putting together. I’m also going to have a virtual workshop that will include this topic very soon.

If you are interested, make sure you stay tuned for my future posts.
