You are the results of your rituals” or another way to say that is “you are the result of your habits.”

“What do you mean by this,” you may ask.

YOU CHOSE!

Well think about it this way: take a look at where your life is today, the things you are doing, what you say to yourself, the weight you are today, etc, how did you get there—there meaning where you are?

You did it by choice. Yes, you chose what you’ve become.

I know this is not easy to hear. I didn’t like hearing or telling myself that either.

#METOO

Granted, there are some things that have occurred in my life and I’m sure yours as well, that we didn’t plan or ask for.

When I was molested as a teenager, I didn’t ask for that. But it happened.

I now had a choice: let it control me or me controlling it. I chose the latter, which didn’t happen overnight. I had to work through forgiveness and letting go of the event.

I know this could be a controversial topic, especially in the #metoo movement. So, I don’t want to get off topic.

CHOSE TO FORGIVE

I wrote a book on forgiveness that came as a result of what happened to me. If you are interested in learning more, you can purchase a copy of it on Amazon here ==> ForGIFTness: Learn How To Forgive When Your Mind Says Yes, But Your Heart Says No!

My point is, my life today that is filled with optimism, hope, and compassion has come through a series of choices I’ve made. It didn’t just happen. Neither will it for you until you decide to make choices that help you advance in life and business.

I could take this conversation in so many directions. I’m itching to do that as I type but I’m resisting so as to stay focused and not turn this email into a book. 😃 They are long enough already.

YOU GET TO DECIDE

However, I want to ask you a series of questions, which are focused on what you do most… you could call them habits.

Ready?

Okay, here we go:

  1. How do you start your day? Watching TV, praying, reading or listening to a good book, etc?
  2. How many books on personal development/growth did you read last year?
  3. What type of food or liquid do you put into your mouth the first part of your day? A can of soda? Coffee? Water? Bagel? etc
  4. How do you go to bed at night … watching the news? Watching a movie? Reading a good book? How?
  5. How many hours of exercise do you do per week? None? one? 3-5? etc?
  6. How many cans of soda do you drink per day/week/month?
  7. What kind of people do you surround yourself with most? Positive people? Negative people? Go-getters? Haters? Gossipers? etc.
  8. How much money do you spend investing in personal development such as training, conferences, seminars, coaching, etc?

Some of what’s on the list are not all bad. But how do they move you towards your goal in life?

I cannot tell you what’s best for you. You must decide that. However, I can tell you this: you won’t become as successful as you possibly could if you keep following the rituals/habits you currently are following that gives you the unsatisfying, depressing, and frustrating results you are getting.

GOOD NEWS!

The good news is that you can change by deciding to change. Yes, it sounds simple, which it is. It’s just not easy. It takes work, discipline, and courage …

… and most importantly, it requires the help of others. You know that’s true because you may have worked hard, disciplined yourself and displayed much courage, but yet still, you are where you are.

What was missing? It was the support, accountability, and encouragement of others. Especially others who won’t let you off the hook. That’s what you’ll need if success is your goal.

If you agree with me and you are serious about changing, then I want to offer you an opportunity to invest in yourself and work with me.

You can connect with me HERE and I’ll send you a link for us to have a 30-minute conversation to see if what I have to offer meet your needs.

Don’t procrastinate. Do so today!
