Living beyond breast cancer is a challenge in and of itself. Add to that the stigma of epilepsy. Yet there are people who are doing this very thing everyday as is the case of my guest in this episode – Andrea Nugent.
In this episode Andrea shares her journey with having to undergo chemotherapy treatment on an ongoing basis and the impact that has had on her. If you’ve ever had to undergo chemotherapy, you understand the implication of this harsh treatment – the loss of hair, energy, discomfort, just to name a few side effects.
I have not gone through this myself, but my mom and younger sister did, prior to their death. It is so inspiring listening to my guest as she shares her determination to beat cancer. Her rigorous speaking and parenting schedule is a reflection of that. She amazes me as you will hear in this episode.
If you haven’t listened to Episode 022 and Episode 023 as yet, you will want to, after listening to Andrea. Even though they are completely separate interviews and wasn’t planned that way, those Episodes were with another guest – Paul Blais – who is also pushing through his bout with cancer. You can listen to Part 1 and Part 2 by clicking the links – Episode 022 & Episode 023.

Hi Kingsley, Today as I prepare my message for next Saturdays, Feb 20th Girls and Women Summit here in Miami, Florida on behalf of my friend and neighbor, Andrea Nugent one of your previous guest. The night before Andrea went into the hospital for the last time, we talked for over 2 hours about life and how we are living beyond our obstacles being that I too am a breast cancer survivor. I promised her that evening that I would carry on and that our dream to have conferences throughout the United States one day would come to past. Kingsley, although she’s been gone for only two months, the opportunity for a conference was presented to me and I immediately thought of her and how this could only be God divinely setting this up. On Saturday, I get to share Andrea’s story, my story, my sister story, your Mother’s and sister’s story, other’s stories. The Summit will focus on spirituality, physical/health wellness, financial well-being, prayer/war room tactics, and lastly my topic, Discovering the Power within to live beyond obstacles like Andrea. Again, it’s not by accident that I ran across this podcast this evening. Although she’s no longer with us, Andrea’s and my dream will manifest itself on Saturday. Hearing her voice is giving me motivation and opening my mind to exactly what to speak about. God Bless!
Hi Valerie,
I’m so thankful I was able to interview her. As you heard, she provided such incredible value and inspiration. Having experienced death in my family as you cited, her death touched me deeply. I’m glad you are continuing to take the message to help others. I applaud you for your commitment and courage. If there’s anyway I can serve, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Thanks again.
